It nails almost everything, including the absence of the ESES for almost 2 years, the progression from infrequent to frequent seizures, and positive treatment with clonazepam and anti-convulsants.

The negative part is under "Neuropsychological deterioration," which seems to imply that severe impairment will happen. But use of the term "associated" with ESES, seems to indicate that it's not a necessary result of ESES. Same with "Motor impairment", which seems to be where most of Jack's issues are.Winstonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02586947260942712819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27647221.post-1149796268014512122006-06-08T12:49:00.000-07:002006-06-08T12:51:08.030-07:00Living with Epilepsy - another blogThis appears to be from someone in NC - sounds like they have my idea
Epilepsy Activism

Christa and I met with Dr. Dean today and discussed a number of different projects we would like to start in order to help people with epilepsy. About a year or so ago, Dean moved the Epilepsy Institute of NC to a new facility. In addition to Physician's offices, she also got enough room for a auditorim and several other rooms that can be used for outreach and educational purposes. We are quite excited and are looking forward to working with her to start some support programs for the region's eplepsy community.
Lesley - if you give me administrator privileges and I can add a link to our sidebar.Winstonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02586947260942712819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27647221.post-1149167230141747192006-06-01T06:07:00.000-07:002006-06-01T06:07:10.140-07:00Epilepsy Action: Tassinaris SyndromeEpilepsy Action: Tassinaris Syndrome - This is also known as Electrical Status Epilecticus during Sleep (ESES) and really seems to accurately reflect Jack's symptoms.Winstonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02586947260942712819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27647221.post-1147874856983880762006-05-17T07:07:00.000-07:002006-05-17T07:07:36.983-07:00Phase I Monitoring - What to ExpectPhase I MonitoringWinstonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02586947260942712819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27647221.post-1147874399100336502006-05-17T06:59:00.000-07:002006-05-17T06:59:59.106-07:00Wake Forest Epilepsy Monitoring UnitMonitoring Unit
We're one of a few centers in the southeastern United States with extensive nuclear medicine facilities in the monitoring unit, allowing radioisotope injection for SPECT (single photon emission tomography) scanning during a seizure.
